I finally found time to complete a "points" total for the 2008 Masters
National Championships (see the "Points" tab).



If we were to start a "state competition", this might encourage more people
to travel to races.

Subject: 2009 US National Biathlon Championships

Lou!!!!

2009 US Biathlon National Championships (Senior, Master, Junior categories)
will be held in Ft Kent, ME .  Race dates will be March 19, 21, 22.   This
will also be NorAm # 10, so there will be Canadians competing.  We can can
anticipate some Canadian masters competitors as well.

The North American Championships will be held in Valcartier, Quebec the
following week, March 25-30.

Valcartier is about a 3hr drive from Ft Kent, and is 20 minutes outside of
Quebec City.  NACH is also Canadian National Championships. At this point
I'm not sure if there will be masters categories at NACH, but all masters
can race if they want.  I will inquire as to the categories.  Whatever the
case, its a nice way to get a lot of racing in, and absorb a little old
world culture in Quebec.

The full winter schedule has not been set yet, but the US Nationals is quite
certain.  Feel free to pass the US Nationals dates to the Masters email
list.  A formal announcement will be made in the next week or two or three.
