Message-ID: Hi There. I've been dabbling in biathlon for a few years now...and I suppose that I'm becomiong a masters biathlete. This discussion group looks like it is just getting off the ground and it needs a bit of a push for membership.... I'll mention it to our local masters biathlon group this weekend. I train in Calgary (Alberta, Canada) and at the Canmore nordic ski centre. We have about 6 to 8 masters that have participated in the past few years. Many (including me) are parents of more youthful athletes and a few are tri-athletes looking for some interesting winter cross-training. Between the creaky body and bifocals....there are a number of challenges to competing as a masters-biathlete. I hope this forum can lead to an exchange of useful ideas (and perhaps act as a source of inspiration) ! [...] On that "bifocals" topic, don't forget that it pays to re-evaluate your front sight aperture on a regular basis. You may need to go bigger!
